Peace One Day – 21 September 2013
August 30, 2013

Greetings in Peace.

We live in a troubled world. With so much commentary on religion’s role in conflict, the role of religion in reconciliation and peacemaking is far too often overlooked.
With less than 100 days to Peace Day, help us make Peace Day 21 September 2013 thebiggest celebration of the power of prayer in peacemaking that the world has ever seen.
Who Will You Make Peace With? This is the powerful question to help guide us in praying for peace together, and highlight the crucial role of religion in reconciliation.
Please join Religions for Peace (RfP), the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders and others in inviting the world’s religious believers to Pray for Peace together, on Peace Day.

Over 200 members active in more than 100 countries, including 10 of the most violent hot spots in the world, have joined the Peace One Day Faith Coalition so far. But Religious communities are the largest and best-organized civil institutions in the world, claiming the allegiance of billions across race, class and national divides – we need your help to reach more.

We have less than 100 days to go. Please use the tools below to inspire, involve, and invite as many people as possible to plan, prepare and participate, for the UN International Day of Peace.

Here’s what you can do:

In solidarity for Peace, we remain

Yours in partnership,
